Hated the New Orkut Themes? - Just Disable Them!

Some days before Orkut introduced 18 new themes to its new interface. But this can happen that a product is useful for one, but not for the other. No problem! Just disable the the orkut themes & surf orkut without themes!

 

New orkut themes are just awesome. But if you didn’t liked them you can disable them. However if your internet connection is too slow for the new themes, you have another reason to disable them.

To disable them just click on Themes on the homepage &then check Browse orkut without themes.

 

You are done. Now you would not see themes in any profile on orkut!

Yes you heard it right. Orkut added 18 new themes for the new interface of Orkut keeping the its additional colours. This is a great move as the profile will be yours again!

 

To access these themes just navigate to this page or click on the themes option on your homepage!

Don’t worry if you can’t see the theme option on your homepage as Orkut has not activated this feature on orkut profiles. You can try navigating to this page.

Orkut More easier With Chrome!

Google recently launched a new Orkut extension for google chrome. everyone was deliberately waiting for this as there was a very tough competition coming from other social networks like Facebook & twitter. Hopefully this might give a bump to the number of users on Orkut as many were migrating from orkut!

 

About The Extension

The orkut chrome extension allows you to receive orkut updates and scrap notifications. The popup menu allows you to quickly jump to a friends’ page, search on orkut, visit your home/scrap/photos pages and share sites on orkut.

How to Install?

You can install this by directly going to this page. Then click on install as indicated in the screenshot below. Though you need to have Google chrome 4.0 installed on your machine.

Create or Install New Orkut Theme or Add Image to New Orkut Background!

Now you can also add Images in your new orkut background ,all you need is to create that theme use simple process but make sure you can view that theme only in firefox or in other words you can put images in your new Orkut background only in firefox .

Use Firefox with Greaseymonkey Installed in it and then create theme . Install below application .

Put your Favourate Image link in the space provided and click submit and then install the theme , Refresh the page and you are done with adding images in new as well as old orkut background.

Found Something interesting ... Share it on Orkut . The new orkut contains a new feature called Orkut Promote. with this you can share a webpage with all your friends in just a single click from within your browser.

Adding ‘Orkut Share’ Bookmarklet to your Browser Just drag and drop following bookmarklet to your bookmark toolbar bar. For English language users:

Brazilian users can drag and drop following bookmarklet:

Whenever you are on any page you’d like to share with your friends on orkut, just click on the ‘Share on Orkut’ bookmark in your bookmarks bar (refer screenshot) and share window will be displayed. Add Audio to your Orkut Profile

Welcome your profile visitors with a Song of your choice ! But you need to be using New Orkut for this purpose. I got to know about this feature When i was surfing profile on orkut i got a profile on which there was a song embedded on his profile. Many of my friends asked me about this so i Added it to 123Orkut.tk for your use!
